Hello lovelies! I feel like it’s been a while since my last post, but it actually hasn’t been that long! Anyway, I’m back with a brand new camera (yay!) and new hair color, just in time for spring! 🙂 I usually get my ombre touched up twice a year – early spring before, my birthday and in the fall, before Thanksgiving. I’ve had my blonde ombre for three years, so this time around, I wanted to switch it up and go for something different!
I usually get my hair inspiration from Pintrest. I’ll gather up some images and finalize my decision the night before my appointment. However, this time around, even the night before my appointment, I was still so unsure of what I wanted to do with my hair! I almost dyed my hair back to my natural brown because I couldn’t make a decision! The day of my appointment, when I walked into the salon, I saw a magazine with Sofia Vergarra on the cover and right then and there, I knew what I wanted. Sofia inspired me! I usually go for ashy blonde tones but decided to go for warmer, honey tones – a color range I’ve never dipped into!
I am so in love with this new color! I think the warm tones work really well with my skin tone. I also have some really pretty beigey-blonde action going on as well. It shows more when I’m in the sun (you can see it best in the last picture above.) I also refreshed my hair with some layers because my hair was in dire need of a trim! I’m trying to grow out my hair but want it to grow out healthy.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I love the 70’s and my 70’s obsession continues with this awesome pair of super flared jeans. When it comes to flared and wide leg pants, in my opinion, the wider the better. These jeans are so comfortable and so chic and I feel so groovy walking in these. I need these jeans in every color! I threw on this leopard jacket to spice up this look. My mom said it reminded her of Beyonce’s character, Foxy Cleopatra, from Austin Powers: Goldmember. In that movie, Austin Powers time travels from the early 2000’s back to 1975, so I guess my clothing choices for this outfit are pretty spot on, huh?
